HTC Hero is a GSM device with 288 MB RAM and 512 MB internal memory. It was released in 2009 with Android v1.5 Cupcake and never received an official update. But you can enjoy Android Gingerbread or even Jelly Bean on your HTC Hero by flashing a custom ROM.
I’m going to list few HTC Hero custom ROMs on this page. Please remember that you need to root your device before you can flash any of these ROMs. Since it’s a very low-end device, you can’t expect much with these ROMs. But they sure will add some features that are missing from original software.
